Patient Resources and FAQ - Pippin Dental Care

Patient Resources and FAQ

We take great pride in providing superior dental care for our patients. That pride extends to helping ensure our patients recognize the value of good dental hygiene home care.

Dr. William Pippin of Pippin Dental Care and his team in Sevierville, Tennessee understand this and are committed to educating patients on how to properly care for their teeth at home.

To be effective, optimal dental care is something, which must transcend the dental practice.

An ounce of prevention truly is worth a pound of cure!

The Importance of Good Oral Hygiene

Many dental problems can be avoided by taking preventative measures like brushing and flossing daily. Brushing prevents the buildup of excess bacteria on your teeth and gums. Flossing removes food and other particles from hard to reach places in your mouth. When these simple actions are practiced daily, the health of your teeth and gums is enhanced.

Your Dentist…Your Teacher

Our dental team is committed to educating patients on how to care for their teeth and gums when outside the dental practice. Of course, routine checkups help ensure that problems don’t go unnoticed for too long.

When issues are detected early, they can more easily be addressed and even reversed. Failure to routinely see your dentist can lead to problems that advance to the point they become serious. That’s particularly unfortunate when a simple visit to the dentist could have detected and avoided considerable discomfort (both physical and financial).

While there are services and therapies, which can only be performed by a dentist, there are several simple steps you should practice daily to extend the health and longevity of your teeth and gums.

Brush after every meal, or at least twice a day. Brushing and flossing upon waking and before bedtime should be a part of your daily routine.

We take pride in listening to the specific wants and needs of our patients. After all, you only get one set of teeth: why not take care of them?

While we respect our patients’ time and do our best to make your visit as short as possible, we also take the time to ensure they know how to continue caring for their teeth and gums once they get home.

Give us a call. We love sharing with people the keys to a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums!
